I went off to Vermont this weekend.

Friday I left work at 4PM. I probably got on the road around 4:30 cause I had to change clothes, etc.. and left straight from the office. The highways in MA were jammed up so I took backroads to Nashua. I didn't friggin get there till 6PM!

I ended up taking 89 the whole way and got there at 9:30PM. I wore my mesh suit and got a little cold which felt strange after all this weather.

I had to sleep on the couch and didn't get to sleep till like 1AM and then got woken up by the Sun cause there are not curtains in the living room up there. So I was pretty dead. I didn't get out for a ride till like 2PM. I went to Appalachian Gap and went up and down the mountain 2-3x on each side. My rear tire seemed to be sliding way too easily. I'm still running the recommended tire pressures of 36/42. Guess it's time to try lowering that, as I checked the rear when it was hot and it didn't seem to be heating up at all, the pressure was still 42psi when I pulled over. 42psi seems to work really well when the hardbags are on with a load though.

Fun ride though, beautiful weather. I talked to a guy who had a V-Max up at the top. He had just gotten back from a trip from Vermont -> Florida -> Arizona -> Vermonth. Crazy. He had gotten a speeding ticket from an airplane while in Louisiana. Talked to another guy on a Monster for a bit too.

Yesterday I didn't leave to come home till 3PM. I ended up taking 89 for a while, then took 91 south, and then got off in Southern NH and took twisties the rest of the way home. Pretty fun day. Got caught in rain 3x but I seemed to have some kind of luck and guessed correctly when to put my raingear on, and I never really got wet at all. Got home at like 8:30 last night.

Fun riding. I did about 650 miles. It was so nice to have the weather finally cool down.
