I love the post crash "next day total body soreness"...feels great.
I'll be grabbing the bike today, and everything should be good to go, just needs to be cleaned up, plastics "welded" and painted, and the exhaust...oh the exhaust. We shall see about that.
Of course, once I get the plastics off I will see what else is jacked up.

Sorry dude, I'm not much of a hugger.

Weird that I happened to be driving by right after you crashed. Glad I could lend a little moral support. Now get that bike fixed up and get back out there.

But try to slow things down a little on cold tires!

Glad you are good man, sorry about the bike. I know other people offered also, but if you need help I too have a garage and a crap load of tools including spray guns you are welcome too. It's even heated though the new heater won't be in for a week or so, till then you can use the old one which will make you smell like kero but keep ya warm

    Re: Motofreak down.......again

cold tires will get you ever time!

i lower my air pressure a little this time of year to put a little more heat in the tires.

i have some parts for your bike.

i have a new tank (never been on a bike or had gas in it)

i might have the lower front plastic ( i cant remember if i already got rid of it)

i think i might have a stock set of pipes and the rear seat.

would you be interested in any of this?

you could have anything other than the tank, that i would need to sell.

    let me know

When its colder out you actually want to add a 1/2 - 1 lb more pressure than you typically run.

my preference is less pressure or the amount of air needed to have the tires run at +120º

    yes i'll use a pyrometer.

you really need to dial everything back now that the roads wont warm up and there is usually dew or worse black ice on anything north facing.

oh and don't forget the mid corner stupid motherfuckers with there doors open parked in the middle of the road taking pictures of the leaves.

yes the PEEPERS are out in full force!

please explain, seems counter intuitive to getting enough heat in the tires?

I think I remember you just changing out your front tire for a Dunflop Qualifier. Is that what tire you crashed on?

I saw a review recently on a bunch of tire brands and one of the categories was cool weather street grip(a real important one to street riders around here). The Q finished dead last... and by a big margin below the 2nd to last tire.

I also slid on the street a number of times on my ZX-10R with those tires in the cold. I wasn't doing anything to make them slide either. Dunlops... never again for me.

Yup...not impressed with that tire, I was, but now I am not. I had a Qual. Rear on my 6R, and I hated it, at temp it was great, then it went from sticky to slippery...year end was all over the place on hot days.
Ill be throwing on my new set of Pirelli DCIII's, and then Ill need another set for the Ape by June...BostonMoto!

Metzler M3's man. I love them. Warm up fast. Great handling (curve is a little different and you can feel the difference in a very nice way). Good for street, and work for track apparently. They also claim 50% better wear and since I am over 5000 miles on mine and they still look almost new (and you know I don't play light on the throttle). They make you feel like you are on magnetic rails they grip so tight when they warm up. I ride them all way on the chicken strips and no slippage
