put the straw on the caliper nipple, bung, whatever you wanna call, cut the hanger & put a little bend near the top like a long "7". stick the tip of the hanger in the straw & let it hang down to the beer glass... if the coathanger is resting on the lip of the glass lay a stick across it & rest the coathanger against that... there ya go
the fluid will go up the straw so you can see when the new fluid starts coming out & whether or not there's any air bubbles, the fluid will go down the coathanger & into the beer glass. the stick keeps the hanger away from the edges of the glass so the brake fluid doesn't drip down the outside
Necessity is the mother of invention![]()

Dude thats frickin genius!
...
now spend the $20 on a cheepo speed bleeder
Seriously though, thats a neat trick to know for situations where you don't have all your tools.
But when we ride very fast motorcycles, we ride with immaculate sanity. We might abuse a substance here and there, but only when it's right. The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. If you go slow and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.
I have a similar setup, but mine might be even less messy.
You get a vacume hose from autoparts store that would fit nice and snug over the bleeder valve. Get a bottle, 20oz is a good choice. Drill a hole in the bottle cap that would fit the vacume hose. Fit the vacume hose through the bottle cap.
