i was on my ride home tonite and my bike was actin up, it was jerking/loosing power almoste like when u run outta gas. it was doing it on and off.. at low RPMs. had anyone ever had this problem? now im afraid to ride it. could the powercommander be acting up? thx guys -Smokey
... i noticed that the bike had to much oil so i let some out. could that have been the problem?
Check yoiur battery connections and make sure your power commander is connected to the battery and not the frame.

did you oil smell like gasoline? maybe the power commander was making the fuel air mixture too rich, (why the engine was sputtering ) and the excess fuel went past the rings into the oil (reason your oil was overfull)
you might want to think about changing your oil if that is the case

Its more of a PC2 problem. In the PC3r its pretty much solved and I havent had any problems with it. DIsconnect it and then see what happens. If its not that then we can start with the other things.
disconnect the power commander? i can run it with it disconnected? and if i disconnect it will i lose the map for it?Originally posted by union

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
I will run without the PC. Just need to pulg in the proper harness. Afterall the rc doesnt come with the PC its an add on. It shouldnt lose the map either.Originally posted by SmokennFasTT

Off the PC website...
Q: If I disconnect my battery will the Power Commander lose it's map?
A: No, all Power Commanders utilize a nonvolatile memory (it does not require constant power to maintain it). The only way a map can be “erased” is to use a computer to load a new one in place of it.
SO the answer is no it wont lose the map. Dan Kyle ships the PC with his maps installed on them.
