I had just read this article prior to hitting up the boards. Sounds as though he has some great feats to his name and it's a shame he was unable to continue his passion. But dying doing one's passion is definitely the way I want to go!

That's a real shame. 300 mph is crazy. So many records are broken up there because it's the best condition paved 1.5 mile. I hope this doesn't effect the event.
