The only thing needed to ride any of these bikes is respect, that is respect of power. As mentioned we can all twist the throttle, the only thing needed is the common sense of where to open it up and to know how much throttle to apply. Back in 99 when the busa first came out, no other bike demanded the same respect. But as modern bikes have been producing more and more power to weight, their respect demands increase, not rider capability. My first bike is a 2000 12r with 50 shot of dual nitrous, capable of over 200mph and a low 9 sec 1/4. You can't tell me I had the skill to completely ride this back at 18yrs old, but I did have the respect to still be riding it after 2 yrs and not kill myself.
Cat3, you can't measure your ability as a rider in how many cc's you sit on. If you think you can, you in for a rude awakening one of these days, either by embarrassment or serious injury.
Where does he say "Hey, look at me...I ride a big bad Busa?"
I ride a Busa, and I dont have a big head over it...
I cant wait to buy a 600 for track use.
If all else fails, Lean more....
No skill is required, just to ride it around a block. For all we know, cat3 only owns one and takes it to the beach and back. I'm saying you don't get any respect or skill by riding a particular bike, but how you ride it. My point was summed up in the last sentence of my original post

Clarification, not 12k dumps from a stand still, more less rolling.
Triumph, not a fat ass, unless 160'ish at 5'9" is fat ass? Annoying you and taking away your private little space on the web...ah someone give this bitch a midol and some vagisil, shit. I thought Brit Riders where supposed to be more tolerable of shit, since they ride shit.

OMG, you guys don't read much do you? I was trying to find out if there were any other Busa riders in NE area, other than the ones I already know. So the title catches your little narrow minds and you flap off at the cock-holsters.... I never said if you dont ride a Busa you aint shit, or I can ride a Busa therefore I am the best. Fuckin shit. Poke a little fun back at some of the same bitches poking fun to start with then the bandwagon of ankle biters chime in. Cool shit there.
BigRed, not the best at wheelies by any margin, never claimed to be either, as for the friends probably not in the top rankings of amateur wheelie riders either... noted.
Oreo, at least you can take what you dish outI'm fine thanks for asking.
Imkindafuckedup... No beach in CO, well none I've seen yet. I only rode track a couple times, loved it and hated it.. loved the track, hated having to push around the fat bitch pig Busa. I've drag raced the Busa, first time ever drag racing on a bike, interesting to say the least. I ride twisties a lot, CO is full of them chasing into and out of the Rocky MTN Foothills. And I do ride back n forth to work, casual cruising etc. I'd love to pick up a track bike, 600 most likely and get more into railing the corners and honing skills, just not this year, hopefully next.

well i got a great deal on the 9r. that bike got me in over my head more times than i care to remember. totaly my fault as i got throttle happy and came in to hot for a corner. i never dialed the suspension ether.
i'm not hating on big bores at all. i love the acceleration. i just think for all practical purposes do you need a bike like that in n.e.? also i didn't like the question at the start of this thread. "any n.e. bitch's ride busa's?" i can and would but don't see the need.

This little bit of wisdom deserves a comment.
I really dislike the "respect" argument for noobs riding big bikes. You can respect the hell out of a pistol but if you don't know how to use it then it can be quite dangerous in your hand.
I guess it is the WHOAH! factor... like "WHOAH! Holy shit! I didn't know If I applied that lil bit of throttle that the bike was gonna do a wheelie"
I just believe that a smaller bike is easier to control and more forgiving for a noob.
Nuff said.

no no...I'm not the best at wheelies....i stand by my original comment
it is also some incite to your's and your friend's riding style's/skill level....
not that being able to wheelie makes you a good or skilled rider...it's just that most good/skilled riders can do a wheelie on a modern sportbike...even if most chose not too... I'd bet money if we randomly picked 5 nesrians atleast 1 of them would be able to do it....if not all...
