Picking up a bike from a family member some time in April. We still need to iron out dates but likely will be a Friday or Saturday. Ideally I would like to drive only my truck and leave the trailer at home to save on gas. The truck is a pig on gas and I would need to re-wire the entire trailer before we leave. If anyone is in the area I'd gladly buy you a case of beer or lunch if you could help out for a half hour at the absolute most. Could shoot you some money on Venmo as well. I'll have ramps and a chock to set it in. The house is in the area of Baddacook pond. I could very easily work with whatever your schedule is. We'll be leaving Hartford early in the morning and hoping to be up there around 9:30-10 and staying most of the day. Thanks!
Just to be clear: you're looking for someone to meet you in Groton/Dunstable to help you load said bike? That's it?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Exactly.
Fuck...for a case of beer, I may just do it!![]()

you had me at free beer. FYI the u-haul bike trailer is your best bet on saving gas. They're only 800 lbs and can be pulled with a class 1 (small car) hitch.
I have a landscape trailer that's probably around the same. Just trying to get away with putting it in the bed if I can.
If you want I can pick it up for you just about anytime and bring it to my house in Holland. I am in that area a lot and it wouldnt be too much trouble to bring my trailer along. I owe you for the rd350 tow anyway so no charge lol. I might even be able to bring it out to you depending on how much free time I have.
I grew up a couple miles from Baddacook. I'm in the next town over now, I can come give you a hand whenever you need. I have a couple decent ramps I can bring so you don't have to drag some all the way up if that helps.
Of course all of this is off if I'M FEUDING WITH YOUR KIN!![]()
No worries.
Thanks to everyone who offered to help. I took a ride up there today and there's a nice little landscape trailer my uncle bought just for the bike. That's coming home with us too so it's a pretty done deal. Bike on trailer and we're all set.
