On the other hand, when I was little I learned to ride on a street legal Honda XL70. That means I could have 12.5 inches of woman destroying power down there!![]()

Oh Im sorry that I work two jobs and go to school and pay for my bike on my own you slut!
And you proved my point, you work more than me so you have more money than me so you can afford to fix your bike....

Just because some people are mornons you're about to punish the intelligent kids like me? I drink in moderation and never drive afterwards, i have an 1100cc bike as my #2. I'm here walking and I don't plan on that changing anytime soon, of my own accord at least. If I get rear ended then my bike had nothing to do with that. It would be nice if there was atest that would seperate the idiots from the kids that can think of concquences.
there's a senseless 2 year thread bump for ya....

They have to buy liter bikes when they read about how slow the 600's are and how they're no fun. What else would you expect?
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Damnnnn Jay!! You won't let that rest will ya? I'm taking the high road..
Oreo seems pissed this thread was brought back probably because he realized his argument is just so damn ridiculous...maybe when he's done getting this legislation passed he'll get to work on his Pro-life campaign...
I said it in another thread....Oreo was a hall monitor in school! Always wanting to tell others how to live....I hear N.Korea's looking for some stand up comedians Oreo????![]()

In Europe, they have a cool graduated license system where you must have a certain number of years of riding under your belt before you can purchase a larger bike. In reality, it makes for some much cooler bikes - VFR400's, ZX-4's, etc.
This, of course, coming from the asshat who earned the nickname "highsider" at 18 years old with my super-sweet FJ1200.![]()
Just clarifying my point, and the reason I was so irritated by the statements.

I don't think it matters, unless we're gonna do the whole thing like in Japan where you have to ride a certain amount of time within a given displacement range and then move up to the next. Tests at every larger displacement licensing.
And the whole 600 is safer than a litre bike, I dunno. I had a litre bike before I got this 600, and the litre bike stayed planted better (weighed more), didn't require such crazy rpm's for equal power, had torque at the low end which meant on the street I really didn't even NEED to hit high rpms.
They are different rides. The 600 skips around on the road more (as it weighs much less), and the higher rpms require quicker thinking with respect to the back wheel and it breaking loose (so far in my experience anyway).

as a person who's a "newbie" to street bikes, I never even considered getting a liter bike, and I've even had experience on smaller bikes, so I just think the people who do get a 1k as a first bike are just plain stupid... and you can't fix stupid. thats all.![]()

Where exactly would you draw the line? And would that mean that people on larger bikes would get pulled over more just to check your credentials? Would it really stop someone who is on an ego trip and wants to ride a litre bike? Afterall, the law says I could not drink until I was 21, but did that stop me when I was 14?
In theory, I agree that young inexperience riders should start out a bit slower. But what if we put all that money, time and energy we would put into a tiered or limited system into education? Isn't that really the key?
