Progressive motorcycle ins is now in MA.
I started a policy online and over phone last night.
I will save money I think, but less than I did with my car insurance.

Not saying its true, but...
I have a friend who is a licensed appraiser in MA. When I told him I was going to use Progressive he basically told me that they have a reputation for failure to pay out when claims do occur and that is why their rates are low. He went on to state that many people had to file lawsuits and wait for the end result in order to collect on a valid claim with Progressive.
Anyone ever use them before and have a claim settled?(I got scared away and re-insured with Encompass this year).
I've had no problems getting paid from Progressive when doing insurance crash repairs for customers. They are actually one of the better ones...
But, if you guys think Progressive has low rates on motorcycles... Wait until some real insurance companies start doing business in your wacky-insurance state. Unless their rate structure is drastically different in Mass, they are usually one of the higher priced insurers for motorcycles.

Me: "Normal people wouldn't do this."
Peter: "First you have to operationalize with normal is."
My brothers car was totalled from hail damage through progressive. They actually called him to ask if his car had been damaged in the storm. He had a check in hand the next day.
Just got a policy with progressive, their car rate was right around the other ins quotes, so was the compulsory on the bike. The full coverage comp/collision on the bike was entirely absurd, $2400 (around 3x what I was paying)

I have used progressive for claims before. Had a bike stolen and the biggest question they had was why I was in Mass with a Maine reg (I was a student at the time). I did all the paper work they needed and sent the title. Got a check no problem. I still use them for my car and would for a bike i I had one on the street.
Supa Motarded! If you see me backin it in, keep watching...Im about to crash
Zip Tie Alley #237
5300 a year for me... one accident and I gotta be a rockafella to drive on the street....ill stick to my commerce that is going up to 800 a year for full coverage
2500! a year for me......no accidents. Im only paying 600 for full coverage through commerce
what a rip off for progressive motorcycle insurance`
