Anyone want to car-pool for a day trip? Leave at the ass-crack and head home after dinner and some Touristy crap if it's not too cold? Or Greyhound or Training it???

Nice! My g/f is lookin' to get a helmet... I think Arai might be out of her price range (she's going to take the BRC, or wants to anyway, this spring). I, however, could use a new helmet... maybe...

and... I just noticed we ride the same bike.

    Hi Mike,
Sorry, no can do. I have the smallest room in NYC as that is what work will pay for and Melissa is meeting me down there.

We are staying Friday and Saturday night and going to the show saturday. Give me a call if you head down though and maybe we can meet up for a couple

    Nathan

FYI: If you book directly with the Paramount Hotel in Times Square they have rooms for about $120 a night with taxes. Not to bad for the area.

    Re: NYC show

I've been to this thing 3 times but I didnt go last year. All the other times its been a good ol' time though so I'm gonna try and make it again.

Most of the vendors actually selling stuff are kind of junky but drooling over the bikes is all I go for anyway.

Most sites have loaner helmets. Check with the specific site though. Just by her a doo rag or a helmet slik at the show. and then buy her a helmet as a graduation present and score some points

I know... but I'd rather she take it with her own, lol. I took the course with my own. She actually has all that stuff (do-rag/helmet silk) -- She was my passenger (and a really good one at that) for the better part of last season. She wants to get her own though (or at least try).

She's been wearing my old helmet which isn't ideal. I think she (shh, don't let her know...) has an odd shaped head. My med HJC is too large for her, and my med. Scorpion is too tight. I remember when I first wore my HJC it felt 'snug'. The Scorpion is a tighter squeeze to put on, but once it's on, feels good. Neither of those feel as good as the Arai I've tried on though...

    Re: NYC show

Remember that each manufacturer makes several different "Head shape" models nowadays! I have always had Arai's because I'm a XXXL, but am going to order a http://www.wikidesigns.com/Wiki XXXL to try it on. I know I want to have one, they just ran out of my size at the Long beach show before I got to them. It's shield starts clear and gets dark in the sun so you don't need shades and you don't need to worry about riding home at night with a tinted shield. It gets very dark on sunny days! I have a friend who has more different helmets than some dealers and the only one I've seen him wear in the last year is the Wiki. Plus, they offer a Mad Discount for Active Military! I'm not military, but that puts them high on my list!

Oh yeah, I know! I'm just afraid she's got an Arai or Soumy head. LOL.

There's only one kind of head I... wait... nevermind.
