I almost never use the sidestand, even on my Wing. And the sidestand makes servicing the bike easier. Everything is straight up and down.

I wanted the crash bars and skid plate for when this bike is on fire roads, etc. I do want to take it on dirt roads and such and want the extra protection.

Just got mine home today, Managed to fit the top box on already, the tank bag and fabbed up a radar mount, I just need to wire up the plug for the radar now.

Sadly I don't have a valid plate for it yet so I couldn't take it for a spin, not until atleast next week.

Now wasn't there someone on this very forum..just last week that got in a little trouble (criminal charges) for misuse of plates? I'm sure even cardboard numbers would be misuse (vincef2??)
Oddly enough though, in Rhode Island your plate can act as a 20 day temp with a dealer bill of sale

    Bike looks good Sean

Here is the complicated part of it all.

We have 2 insurance companies one for the street bikes and one for the dual sports due to the fact that we don't carry as much coverage on the dual sports and our street bike ins co won't let us have lesser coverage on vehicles with in the policy.

    Here's where it gets complicated.

We sold leahs DR200 out right and have the plate for it in her name.
We traded my sprint toward her new klx250 but the sprint is registered in my name and insured from a different company.

So in order to be able to use my street bike in trade for her dual sport we had to surrender the plate from my sprint, and her dr200 and get brand new ones.

BUT being the lovely state of ASSACHUSETTS if we had registered the bikes this week being the last week of 2006 we would have had to pay full price for the 2006 registrations and pay full price again on jan2nd to renew them.

So we decided to wait the week and register them on the 2nd.
