Well to make it short and simple
no chase law is like J-walking.It`s not always gona be enforced. They did call a chase here in New Bedford off a few weeks back due to 100+mph speeds within the city.
I bet 8 out of 10 times a cop WILL chase a bike.
As for benefits......perhaps less deaths and
maeham?
Not all riders are that great and there attempts to run will be foiled.
I myself will never run.....its just not me.
Iv`e done it as a kid on dirtbikes, but now that im all growned up.....lol,running is just to dangerous.I now have a family I have to tend to.
Just pull over, take the ticket like a big boy and get your knee pads ready. Your gona need them if you know someone in special places.
If it aint broke,break it!

In New York there is a no chase recommendation,, anything over 100mph.. What I have found that most of the time they will turn on the lights and see if you pull over.. I am not sure what happens after that as I have very limited experience in this area..![]()

I had a strange LEO experience today, I was on Rt 140 in Gilmanton, just passed a cage (in legal zone) I was doing about 80, as I approach a slight sweeper I see a local LEO oncoming, I hit the brakes, at the same time the LEO's blues & flashing haedlights come on & my V-1 sounds instant on Ka, he slows and pulls over onto shoulder like he's goin to do a 180 and stop me, so I just kept on the brakes right to a stop, the car I passed goes flying by me and I look for the LEO and he never stopped or turned around.

This is what they do around here,, I get the frantic waving of the hands to slow down no matter how fast I am going and it is not uncommon for them to throw on the lighs as I go by,, I thank them for the warning and then speed up to get away.. The tricky ones will wait till your out of sight flip around,, call ahead and then try and box you in with another cop... high speed and a change of route always seem to work well
Out in the south Berkshires (aka CopLand) I had a similar "tricky" encounter: long slightly downgrade straight, local LEO oncoming. I was doing the limit. He went by me and I watched in the rearview like I always do. Funny, no brake lights, but he eventually came to a complete stop in his lane, then the road turned and I lost sight of him. He was on my ass a minute later.
