Well, no go on the bike at Weymouth. They absolutely will not go below $8495. It is a leftover.

Looks like it's going to be Best Cycles, if I can talk them into something like $6999-$7299 OTD.

2006 they have a nice Hans Spree replica one. 5K miles only 6800$ with a slip on already done
    http://www.eastcoastcycle.com/new_ve...35&pov=1443176

2006 or a Yellow and blue one for 7800$ stock

    http://www.eastcoastcycle.com/new_ve...35&pov=1271998

or a repsol for like 8600$ (but its not a rearl repsol (black frame) so they just through a fairings kit on there...false advertising.

Call Bettencourt and ask them to find your bike for you.

That sounds like a good idea, but they'd probably charge me the same price that they did for the other one, which was $8495.

I would like to get the leftover 2007 CBR1000RR in black and metallic gray for $7299 out the door (this would include freight, prep, and all paperwork).

I received a response back from a Paul M, saying that they were selling it for $8995 with incentives. Their site lists the bike at $8495, so I am assuming that the incentives are only $500.

I basically wrote back asking them to contact me if they wanted to do a REASONABLE deal, since they need to get that bike out of there more than I need to buy it. I also told them about the deals other area dealerships are doing on the 08 leftovers.

I've never had a black bike, so I wouldn't mind owning this one.

haha good luck, Paul is an alright guy but that place holds onto stuff like it's gonna be worth more in the future. Down in the storage area they have some pwc with the pink and purple colors Honda seemed to like so much in the early 90s. Granted it worked out with the RC45 they sold a few years back but a CBR1000RR isn't gonna up in value.

Chuck the color might be hideous, but hey can't beat the price. I know one of the sales guys there. He might be able to search around for a specific bike for ya. Wicked cool people to deal with. http://www.freedomcyclenh.com/new_ve...735&pov=932495

Yuck. I definitely wouldn't want to own a bike that I didn't like and I do not like that color scheme at all.

so have you decided what you're gonna do yet? i just hope you dont jump the gun on a bike now because you want to ride. i'd gladly offer up my bike to ride if it means you'll patiently get the bike & price you want.

No, I'm not rushing into anything. I know the max I am willing to pay now, which is $7499 out the door.

If dealerships aren't willing to work with me on this, they will not get my business. It's that simple.

I agree Mondo, this was my favorite color for the 1000RR's

If I had some experience and thought I would be able to keep the 1000RR under 160mph I would have bought this same color

Well, it's looking good to replace the 1000RR with the same colored bike. One of the local dealerships looks to be agreeing to the $7495 OTD price that I am requesting. (obviously minus tax, title, and reg) and is willing to sell the extended warranty for $300 less than I did at Bettencourts.

    Keeping my fingers crossed.

Are you transferring the reg or handing in and getting new?

Just thinking when one of my trucks was totalled it was a pain to get the excise abatement with the reg still active - just fyi.

Wondering if I'll get double-billed if I transfer the reg, since I still haven't received the excise on the first bike yet?
