    interesting. i bet my hawk's clutch wouldn't have been gone if the PO had done that to mine. Plates were basically new spec but slipped like crazy.

    I've found that a misadjusted clutch lever/cable will sag out your clutch springs. Coulda been the issue...

    yea hard to know now. I don't remember the cable being adjusted too far when i got it, but that doesn't mean it wasn't when it was put away.

    good idea though.
