K&N oil filter for gixxer

can anyone use this? i hate to throw it away. bought it for some guy with 07 gixxer but it doesn't fit. so i dont know what yr this is for.

When I bought my bike it had a K&N filter. I dont know if previous owner over tightened it or what but it was a bitch to get off. The convenient nut just twists the metal. I had to screw an oil filter wrench on to get this sucker off.
