Okay lets hear about Monday's Track day.

So I get to NHIS for our cage track days and there's all this stuff around.....
Tire barricades and cushions in NASCAR turn 1, assorted brake handle ends and gears with funny helical reinforcement (broken of course) scattered around the garage..................

    What did you guys do?

I also heard their were some wrecks so I hope bruised egos were the extent of it.

-Suf Daddy no photos for a while eh?

Okay lets hear about Monday's Track day.

Trackday was good, and relatively incident free. A few low sides, no injuries that I know of.

We didn't move any barriers, so that had to be NHIS workers. As for debris, well there was a race weekend prior to trackday!

I had a blast ripping around in the rain, and I think everyone who rode had a good time. I probably did 90 miles on track.

The follow the leader sessions were hell as it was raining HARD and it was cold, but the rest of the day was very decent.

Okay lets hear about Monday's Track day.

Personally, I had a great time. I was warm and dry and put in a few long stints on the track without feeling the least bit exhausted.

The most fun came from the experience I gained riding close to the edge of traction and at times OVER the edge without crashing. I learned that race compound 208s are brick-like when cold and it takes 6 laps of relative tip-toeing to get heat into them (riders on STREET tires had a real noticable advantage with the quick heat up and Silica in their compounds).

After the 208s warmed they would start to hook up pretty well and I could move right along. I practiced being very smooth and relaxed in every corner, waiting for the bike to slide, which it did on several occasions. The most exciting was a 2 wheel drift in turn 11. I was pleased that I stayed relaxed and it hooked up easily.

I never expected to have so much fun.
