Looking to buy a 2 piece set but don't want to buy something on line with the hope it fits well. Is there any place near metro west that has a good selection of leathers? Also, for track days, is there any major disadvantage to running a 2 piece suit?
Vanson has some off the rack stuff. Street & Comp are a little ride but got stuff. Miles is in Florida right now I think.
Seacoast Ducati has quite a few leather suits... Check there.
I now have both. Honestly, if I didn't get a screaming deal on the 1-piece, I never would have gotten it. I feel the 1-piece doesn't offer much more of a safety advantage for my kind of riding to outweigh the convenience of the 2-piece.
But then I don't track ride very often. So YMMV.
Very pleased with the boots I bought from Seacoast.
I don't know about other suits but my rev'it suit has two zippers. One that goes all the way around and another 12 inch on the back. Not worried about it failing at all.
I don't believe I've ever seen a two-piece come apart at the zipper in a track day crash, though theoretically it could happen. I have had both, and much preferred the two-piece because I can fit the top & bottom individually. On the street, it's nice to be able to remove the jacket when you stop for lunch.

Check out the vanson factory shop. They are in Fall River, Ma. Probably 1 hr from Boston. I would absolutely recomend vanson and a 1 piece. I had 4 crashes in mine with one at 90ish before it needed repair. They say the two piece are near as strong but when your sliding on your stomach for 200 feet you will be wishing you were in a 1 piece.

Seacoast, for sure. For me it's 40 miles via highway, or 48 miles on back roads. Worth the trip.

And don't believe everything you think.
