What about trying to get them to the track VIA the NESR racing team for a demo on a race weekend? Supply the race bike and area (think sponser) and figure for a Sat. demo or something![]()

from what I understand, the owner has a thing about non employees in the facility and he will be out of town monday and tuesday . he wants to liquidate his inventory but doesn't want to take any time to market them????

A fraction of a bike?........This was last years bike being hoisted in its entirety.
My take on the new one.....Pricey, and not much less than a real service lift.

None the less, the Craftsman arguement (to me) is a moot point...

My first post was intended as a specific reply to the question about the craftsman lift. And given the most recent posts and pictures it would appear that I may have been incorrect. That said, I'm not sure I would feel comfortable lifting my bike by the collector pipes. It comes down to a personal decision, would you rather:
a. pay $500 for a lift that has no potential for damaging your exhaust and looks a lot more stable than the craftsman lift.
or
b. pay $100 for a lift that uses a $500 component (headers, pipes, etc.) to lift your bike and depending on the layout of said pipes might require the use of straps to hold the bike in position. See picture of GSXR on Craftsman lift for more information.
Coming from someone who had their bike fall off it's center stand (son-of-a) I'd probably invest in the better lift and have less to worry about while doing work on the bike.
That my rant for the day.

There is a bracket called the "Multi-Mounting bracket" that is used for "wheels off"
I did notice a few specialty bracket for some ducati's and few others.
But all in all there is a chassis mount for sport bike's w/ the lift

Like my son posted in the previous message, some bikes would require a bike specific accessory, and I would be willing to bet that there are some bikes that will require some type of adaptor that is not made and you would have to fabricate one.
I got a call from my contact today, I can set up a demo for anytime next week
for me later in week works best but weather will be lousy for riding a bike there... monday or tuesday are best days to ride
I don't know about anybody else, but I am concerned with how one of thes lifts works with my bike, I wish I could get my 920 there too.
my time is somewhat flexible.... and I don't mind riding i rain

I looked at the pictures again and I see that they use the side stand, then they show another one that uses the header. Race bikes don't use side stand, so I think this would be tricky to use.Originally posted by wastedincome420
