I pulled this off of the NEAR list. A real cool B&W video with on bike shots and everything. It seems to me like he is really flying too, especially considering it was in 1964! Not exactly high tech stuff by today's standards. Just goes to show you, it's the man on the bike that makes it go fast, not just the bike! Can you imagine what he could have done with today's bikes.....

Thats a pretty cool vid for 1964, my Dad still creams himself thinking of Hailwood on a Honda 6 screaming round the Isle of Man.
Great clip!
I can't imagine riding those speeds with just a pudding bowl on my head & bare hands. Didn't see a single cornerworker either.
What the hell was he trying to do with his rear brake lever? Hey Mike, push the lever DOWN to back it in...

Thanks for posting, that is an amazing clip. Reminds me of onboard footage with modern bullet cameras, except in 1964 they had to use big FILM cameras(!) That one mounted to watch the shift lever must have been pretty wacky.
Can't figure out if he was wearing light colored gloves or he was racing with no gloves (which to me would be insane). Of course no face protection and a helmet lined with 1/4" of cork also seems a little crazy by today's standards.
Are they still making the Mike Hailwood movie? Really looking forward to that...
