Got to get in a ride today...first one since last fall when the weather was this warm! It was SO GOOD to walk out my door and feel the true warmth in the air...put on my new Arai, new Joe Rocket gloves, and had a ball!! Cagers still morons...oh, well, what else is new? But like I say...a bad day on a bike beats a good day in a cage!!! Hope you all got to ride too!! Clouds rolling in....looks like more rain......sheesh!!
I went out today for the first time this year. I only took my bike for a quick blast then to the bike shop to have some tires mounted. Should have it back on Tuesday. It definitly felt good to be back in the saddle.
Doesn't matter if I'm on the bike or in my car, I encounter drivers being a$$holes everywhere I go...![]()

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
Yeah, Ive been riding all winter long...every two weeks or so. As long as the road conditions and weather permitted, I'd at least get in a short ride. Keep one thing in mind...regarding cagers: for most, the last time a cager had to deal with a biker was last October. There just seems to be some syndrome with humans that they get out of "practice" if they aren't exposed to the same stimuli on a regular basis. Now, some cagers will always be assholes to fellow cagers and bikers alike. Some even find glee in fucking with bikers, even if it's only to "scare" 'em, and not actually cause an accident. Then there are those who just dont care about bikers, and put all the responsibility on the biker to avoid getting hit, cut off, etc. But by and large, most cagers will at least be civil, and simply seem to not be cognizant of bikers being back on the roads again, and must be forced to remind themselves that it's spring and bikers are indeed BAAAACCKKK!!! That's why you see stickers of the "look twice..save a life" biker advocacy type on cages. So, it behooves us bikers to be in an even higher state of vigilance than normal when first venturing out at this time of year. The "I didn't see him" cager lament is all too prevalent now, as they just dont have the awareness that we are amongst them once again. I'm not making excuses for cagers, but instead am enforcing the notion that you CANNOT put your life and limb in the trust of a stranger! Keep yer head on a pivot, check yer mirrors, watch side streets and driveways, and left-turners. ASSUME that you are invisible out there, and ride accordingly. Keep your guard up at all times of your riding season, but none more than at this time of the year!! Ride safe!!
