I had one, a 1997, yellow. Fabulous bike, but it was a bit cold blooded, carburetted model.
Do you know when the belts were last changed?
Things to do:
Visit http://www.ducatisuite.com/home.html
Buy the 2V (Desmodue) manual from http://desmotimes.com/
He's got all the maintenance items you need, too.
Join this forum: http://nedoc.org/
... and maybe 2V2Ducati will respond, too.
hth,
kurt

Nice find. Get some better pics up. We love Ducati porn.
Had a 750cc, 900ss and an 800ss. Great bikes. Ask whatever questions you want.

That first link I sent you has a tutorial on replacing belts. Do some web searching, maybe youtube, I recall some videos on belt replacement.
It's kinda hard to be cheap *and* own a Ducati.

got another one for sale! 1997 with 11k this bike has lots of extras including marvic magnesium rims, ohlis rear shock, ceramic coated headers, arrow exhaust, clip ons, custom tripple tree, corbin seat, origional seat, woodcraft rear sets and more.
Ducati reccomends replacing the belts every 3 years just in case.
If you lose a belt you are fucked. They aren't like fan belts.
Also closely inspect the bearings and replace those if you have ANY questions on them. They go, they eat the belts and... you are fucked.
The biek looks pretty clean. I miss mine but the S2R1K makes up for it.
