What's the hot ticket this year? The 208's I have on the TL-R only have less than 2000 miles on 'em, but they're from late '05 (yeah, I REALLY rode a lot last year). I'd feel better with some new donuts...
TL guys? Speak up. I spend very little time over at TL Zone or whatever it is now...
Dave?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I'm not a TL guy, but all these are good tires- Pirelli Diablo (Corsa), Michelin Pilot Power, Metzeler Sportech M3. You can't go wrong with any of those. Depends what you want of your tire though. These are more sport oriented, so you sacrifise a little mileage for grip. I currently run PP's. Have a 6 k miles on them already and expect 2 k miles more. So it's not that bad.

Conti Sport attack if you want cheap but still very good.
Pilot Power if you want a spend a few more dollars
I have Pilot Power 2CT's I just put on. I probably won't buy 2CT's again. They are a few too many dollars for me and my taste for consumables, and I'm sure I don't really need the 2CT in the first place.

I'm really happy with the Metzler Z6's on my ZZR1200; got over 10,000 miles on the rear and 15,000 on the front with the last pair. Planning on putting Z6s on the ZX14 too when the time comes.
After my qualifiers expire
I think i like the
pirelli diablo dual compounds the softer rubber looks closure to the real
world then on the michelin
I don't think you can buy a BAD tire anymore
if your cheap the bridgestone bt014 were fins and probably the cheapest real sport tire

Running th 2ct's, got 800 on them and seems good, Tl guys have been saying some good things about the Conti's ... Friend just put on the road attacks..
If the Conti Race Attacks come out by the time I need tires again, I'll probably try those. If they are not out by then, I will buy the standard Pilot Power(not 2CT). I don't think I'm going to buy PP 2CT's again since I'm probably spending money I don't need to. I was surprised by the grip of the standard Pilot Power, particularly in cold weather for the street. I got about 7000 miles out of the standard PP including 2 trackdays.
My 06 ZX-10 came with Q's(yeah I know, OEM Q's) and they seemed not to have great grip. They were wearing VERY quickly too, almost in little chunks like a pencil eraser. This is all with just commuting and mild street riding, I've never seen a tire wear like that.

I really like my BT014s. They don't offer the greatest longevity (especially if your bike makes more than 90 ft/lb or torque), but they stick extremely well!
+1 on the Power CT's. I get a decent mix of striaght highway and twisties and they wear nice and i get really good mileage out of them. I hear the Corsa 3's are fantastic though. I think im gonna try them next.
