i am with oreo it kind of looks like a yama or zukie not the typical BMW i mean it is good looking but missing the flair
All strippers SHOULD have fake tits!
I agree that it looks a bit like the "other" brands.
It needs to stand out like the "Boxer Cup" series bike did IMO.
kind of looks like a CBR with a BMW badge
Am I the only one who sees a lot of aprilia-ness in that design?
I do like it, though.

I had read somewhere that BMW's intent was not to break a bunch of boundaries with this bike. But rather use similar technology and design as the japanese manufacturers to be competitive in SBK and stuff. Basically they re-verse engineered a bunch of stuff, put their own twist into it and put the badge on it.
i liked the early design lines of it but now that i see the production model, not so much. be interesting to see how it sells and how it does in SBK
rsv4 anyone?
RSV4 tail looks fucking stupid.
in other news, i need to see a view with more of the front of the bike to judge how cool/silly the headlights are.
hurray, strikethrough!

It looks good but as others have stated it just looks like bmw took existing designs from other manufacturers and put them all together to make a frankenbike. Now I'm not in the market but I am very curious to see what the final sticker price is going to be and what the maint sched is going to look like and why anyone would choose it over any other liter bike besides the badge. .02

With all the internals similar, I don't figure that there was a lot of wiggle room for their design. Like most other manufactures, it's probably dictated a lot by aero's. That probably why it looks like they took bits and pieces of plastic from other bikes. There are at least 7 other large manufacturers that all produce competitive superbikes, so probably not much new ground to tread on there.
Price wise, again can't remember my source, but BMW had initially stated they were going to be competitive with the japanese literbikes. I think motorcyclist put them at about 15k or under for the BMW, but that was over almost a year ago.
so it has ABS.... hmmmmm.
I think it looks cool. I mean, with the modern looks, asking for a bike that looks COMPLETELY different and STILL sweet is tough. I think BMW did a nice job.
