k so just got some gloves for xmas and birthday is comin up in a couple weeks (i love this time of year), and was thinking of getting a back protector. Alot of the BP's i found had a ton of straps and stuff almost like wearing a harness of some sort. is there a quality back protector that can be slid into the back pocket of my jacket where the stock foam one is now? and do 1 piece suits have this "pocket" so i can transfer this BP from my street jacket to track leathers. I know that with a smaller BP there usually isnt a tail bone pad but i was going to get those Bohn padded shorts later this year.
some of the brands ive been eyeing:
Impact Armor, Bohn, Knox
Tuono
Anything that "slips into a pocket" probably won't give you full length coverage.
If you can afford it, go w/ Impact armor chest & back protector. period. Don't bother looking at anything else.
Bohn is another BP i have experience with and liked, but if you can afford it, impact armor all the way.
In fact, even if you can't afford it right now, just save your pennies & get IA when you can.

alright so much for something that slips into the jacket..... so the impact armor doesnt seem that expensive compared to bohn and knox. they are all from around 150-180. ill probably get a back protector first then a chest later. do you guys use your bp's on the street as well? the knox ones seem like they are the slimmest , but i see the IAs are custom fit to the person.
budda what are you rockin?
