I didn't want to clutter the pit area, so here are the pics from the weekend. The damn rain made them come out all grainy-like. I also have prints so if you want prints, I can bring a double next race weekend (or you could download these onto your comp and print your own).
Friday night (trying out the new lens)
Saturday morning (pre-practice)

Was this film? What ISO were you using?
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
Yes and I don't remember. The one I always hae it set to. I'll probably need to adjust it for the big lens.... The prints came out less grainy though in most cases, so it may just be the digital conversion. I also had 800 film which, in retrospect may not have been that good for a rainy day...Originally posted by JeffL

No Problem with those pics they look great to me..
Try shooting black & White if you're going to shoot ISO 800 on a rainy day with crappy overcast light. It's a lot less grainy then ISO 800 color film & it takes care of the hideous skies, etc.. on an overcast/rainy day.
Also if you are going to shoot ISO 800 color film definitely step up to a "Pro" film. Fuji NPZ 800, Kodak Portra 800, etc.. are hugely better then the consumer films. They can be quite expensive retail but deals can be found. Stay away from Kodak consumer stuff.. it's fairly yucky.
KB, what the hell are you doing?

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Thanks for the B&W tip. I know nothing about shooting in balck and white, except that I have never done it. As for pro film, I did have the debate at the store about which to buy, but since the forecast I saw when I bought it said it would be clearing by noon (and all the races being after noon) I figured the Fuji consumer was good enough. That and since I make way less than I spend now, I needed to hold onto as much cash as possible in order to even go to this weekend's fesitivties. I may have to go pro anyway just due to the high speeds and huge amount of zoom.Originally posted by benVFR

Oh, and Kodak sucks.
Thanks for letting me take pics, guys! I had a blast. Hopefully the weather looks better next time so you all can get your knees down.
