~4 hours worth of washing and waxing, and about 30min worth of camera
resizing them made some a little jaggy, i have hi-res if you want them...
hope you like em

feel free to post comments or constructive criticism (none are post-processed), but ignore the "bike pee" and my shitty attire. i'd just finished waxing the bike and the water hadn't fully drained from washing it until i moved her out to the driveway/porch.
it also started to sprinkle while i was snapping away-- after having labored through 2 coats of wax, it's almost to be expected.

Looks great. I don't have the patents for that myself, hell I don't even bother washing mine.

I see you acquired a rearstand. That 6th shot down makes me dizzy.

I really like the second (on the rearstand in front of the woodpile); on the next one (focus point on the background, bike OOF in the foreground), I'd rather see the focus reversed; I'm not entirely sure it would work that way, either, but I think it would be more interesting (unless you had a more interesting background).
I really like the idea with the motion-blurred shot; I'd suggest trying that with second-curtain flash from a decent external flashgun (bonus points if it's off-camera), gobo'd to freeze just the bike.
We have the same Mazdaspeed Miata here, except I ditched the boat anchor stock wheels for light 15s
Bike looks gorgeous! I'm amazed that you invested that much time in cleaning a bike that didn't seem that dirty on Wednesday.
looks good
....but fak....in 4 hours you could have done a freekin awesome ride!
(I'm a rider not a washer....)

lol, sorry for making folks sick, but i'd say that inducing a physical sensation from a photograph is about as good a compliment as one can get. (that pic makes me dizzy as well -- like that falling forward sensation as you're about to pass out)
dieseldan -- they're planet superbike color-matched reflective rim stripes. i organized a big group buy on a few other forums (started out as just SVRiders, which is why the colors are matched to SV colors... only problem is that because they're reflective, they get a lot brighter and don't look well matched, lol). i like the safety aspect, though, but i think they look nice. if you're not too keen on the color, but want the added attention it attracts, you can always get white/silver/black reflective to match your rim paint.
ducdave -- yeah, i'm a rider myself, but it was kind of sticky yesterday (although it was reasonably cool). i usually try and wax it every few washes, and every couple waxes i'll go all out and do a super detailing, and i'd just put a big ol' scratch in her gas tank, so it was kind of an olive branch to smooth things over and patch up our relationship with a good bout of hardcore TLC.

PM me first when it's time to sell. That bike is gorgeous - one of the best colors out there.

You did a great job...the finish looks uber wet...

Whats your technique? what did you use on it?
BB
the wash:
rinse, soap, rinse, dry mostly w/ chamois, rinse again, soap again, rinse again, dry fully w/ chamois, let air dry for a bit before waxing (or let dry for a few min and then go for a 100mph blow-dry).
2 light coats of wax with Griot's Carnauba Wax, 1 body panel at a time:
dust off w/ microfiber towel, wax, buff w/ microfiber towel, wax again, buff w/ microfiber towel again, continue on to next panel
we have a small tub of it... i guess they recently changed to little stick-type bits. it's sort of expensive for what you get size-wise, but the stuff lasts ridiculously long cuz you put on so little of it, especially on a bike (vs. a car). multiple incredibly thin coats of wax >>>>>>>> thick coats of wax

Not as fun, but a leaf blower is your friend for drying.
