Not anymore, gave it all back to it's rightful owner. But I *WILL* be set up within the next coupla months to do this...Originally posted by Mystery Squid
BTW, doesn't someone here have proper tire mounting equip? If so, I'd much rather donate X amount to them vs. the stealerships!
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Good choice. I put the Battlax 010s on my ZX9R this past spring. I put over 5K on them and there's still decent tread left. The tires warmed up quick, gripped very well, and were very good in the few rain trips I did. There are probably better tires for specific applications (track days, etc) but they are great all around sport tires. I like the tires and plan to put a new set on next spring/summer.
Had a few sets on my 9R and like them very much. I don't get 5K out of them but they last longer than D207s and feel more composed. Right now I am running 010 fronts and 020 rears but may go back to the 010 rear tires next season since the lifespan of both types seems nearly equal for me lately.Originally posted by scootertrash

I wish I could get 5000 miles out of a set of tires. I'm lucky if the rear will get 3500.
The Hawk eats tires for lunch, and TL's for dinner.![]()
The 010's are good tires for street riding.
My gix 1k would chatter and skip on the cusp of those tires while accelerating through a corner. Once I switched to H2's and Evo Dragons, the bike stuck like glue through ANY apex.
Other bikes and other peeps swear by them.
My advice is to be tentative through your first hot corners, I'm not trying to be a dick and tell you how to ride, but my set-up was less than optimal.
Note: H2's, Sport tecs, and Evos will NOT give you as much milage as the 010's.
Be careful Mystery', take it easy and build confidence before you let the hammer down through a hot corner!
