So I've had my F4 for like four years now and decided that I was going to buy a new bike this winter. This weekend my brother decides that he's going to get engaged, and wait for it, GET MARRIED IN ARUBA. Now I get to be best man at the wedding, which will cost ridiculous amounts of money. Thank you for ruining my plans....as usual....and congrats....jackass!

Eh, he's gonna have another ceremony local too, but wanted to do the whole beach thing. He's basically inviting anyone who wants to go, so he would have trouble paying for the 50 or so people that we are expecting. I just felt like bitching cause I'll have to wait a little longer for a new bike. It's gonna be a blast, but will definitely set me back a little.

Hopefully for a walk on the beach after all that money..... but seriously, weddings can be fun but pricy. I was the best man in my buddys wedding and i took him to VIR for a 3 day trip. Its a once in a life time thing(well should be!) that should be remembered well.

Granted, but he should at least pay for members of the wedding party. For all intents and purposes, you're doing a job for him. Expecting you to pay for it is just a little insane.

this age is tough to spend on toys because there are other "obligations" to pay for, but from what I understand, it only gets worse after you get married or when you get older with a house/bills/etc.

so do both! you can do it!

Was looking at the CBR1000s. Love the new look. I may just look for a used RC51 instead. Once they finalize the date, and I get a feel for how much I'm going to spend, I'll start looking around.

For an oversees/far away wedding, I think they should pay for the immediate faminly and wedding party, and everyone else can go if they want. He shouldn't ask you to be his best man and make you pay, just not right. What if you were out of work or just really tight on funds?
