Hi there. I have a 2005 GSXR 750 that I need painted. I just want a gloss black from nose to tail (including tank) I will do all decal and sticker removal. I have 1 one inch gash on one fairing that needs filling.(1/8 of an inch thick). I need a quote as well... I'm not stupid. I got a quote yesterday for $1900, what an insult. Its not a hard paint job, its gloss black for Pete's sake!! If anyone has a friend or knows of someone that can do this or is interested... Gimme a PM or a call 508-762-7875 -BB
THANK YOU!!!
that's not an unreasonable price for bodywork and paint.
sorry Mondo. I have never painted my bike before but i got my car painted for 2700 and my bike is like 1/4 the labor and paint. So I personally thought it was a bit steep. If I'm wrong then thank you for informing me.
Thanks Jim!
no i agree, 1900 is a lil steep, check around. Go to other body shops.
If you do alot of the prep work you could prob save yourself some cash. It may be cheaper to just buy a whole new set of fairings at that point tho and sell the ones you have now.
Well if anyone knows anyone that has a set of OEM plastics an tank painted gloss black, lemme know that as well. Oh and I forgot, that i need the front fender as well. I have cash.

ummm rattle canning doesn't sound too appeasing. HAHA. plus it doesn't have that nice factory look. Peach pit just gave me a quote for $1200
found a yellow & black set: click here if you think Mondo is fat
There is also a difference in race quality paint and street quality paint. Gloss Black is one of the hardest colors to paint due to it's shine, it shows EVERYTHING, White the opposite. Robby does great work! That is a fair price. I'll still stand behind my thoughts at $1900 isn't too bad for street/show quality paint plus bodywork. It's a lot harded to work on MC than cars due to the size and amounts of curves.
Painted my front and pods for $40 and some elbow grease/patience, not gloss but it is black

Robbie Nigl is an awesome painter. He does all my work. He actually has my stuff right now which is close to being done
Doing your own prep work really wont help if you go to a professional. They like to do their own prep that way they are sure its done right. It will probably end up costing you more especially if you dont do a good job.
Robbie turned this stuff
Into this.

I got a quote from a guy name Adrian. He says $800 including decal removal. So that's the best I have received so far. I am going with the jet black look. FINALLLLYY. Its something I have been wanting to do for 5 years. I'm thinking bout keeping the yellow theme going and getting the Suzuki lacquered over on the bottom .But that's it. Also thinking about getting humongous nauticals put on the sides. Any ideas to my gloss black theme?
it'll look like every other bike. Kawi, Yamaha, Ducati, Honda, and Suzuki offer all gloss black bikes. personally, it's boring looking (except the Duc with red frame).
remember you're going to get what you pay for when shopping for the cheapest work. there was a guy on here offering decent paint jobs for a good price. he's been MIA lately due to some recent personal issues.
But he did have a chance to see the paint job Robbie from Peach Pit did on my bike, and said that the quality & time spent is much higher than his typical work. good to know Robbie does quality work, but you come to expect it when you're paying top dollar.
