    Plating an enduro in Maine

Had a handle on this process in NH. But I am now a Mainer. Reading the regs has left me more confused than not. Is it possible to plate a non-title exempt enduro.
Say a WR450F or something like that?
What are the cliffs version of the process?

If your title doesn't scream "off road use only" you can likely just go to your town hall and say you want to street register it.

What if you have no title? The '12 WR I had for example had a certificate of origin issued to a past owner but had never been titled. I'm assuming that CO plus some chain of bills of sales might get me somewhere, or maybe not. But then again I am pretty sure Yamaha brands their COs as "off road only". So no dice?! Just stick to <400cc?

Under 300cc is the easy pass in Maine, no titles issued for those machines, so title status doesn't matter. That 2012 isn't 25yrs old so the age bypass won't work for it.

Worth a shot just bringing what you've got to your town hall and giving it a go, my local crew have made just about everything I've thrown at them easy. Now, if you're in Portland proper you may get more of a hassle?

Nowhere near Portland, so. Already forgot it was 300cc, not 400. I think 400cc is VT?! Must be.
Sounds like this is maybe not so easy. I'll stay away from untitled 450's.

Opportunity presented itself. We were ready for the change. Plus reasons.

I've vaguely kept in touch with Rich. Hoping for the day our paths cross again.
