Well, I was going to buy the Teknic chicane jacket to match the pants I have. But, since they've dropped their distributor or something, I think I'm in the market for a new suit. I want black, just like the bike. I'm thinking either this one: http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...t--601213.html
Or this one: http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...t--602478.html
The motoGP is a bit more pricey, but it's kangaroo hide!Any opinions? Is the price difference worth it? I think I like the plain black looks of the Alpinestars suit better. But kangaroo!
Has anyone had experience with kangaroo leather?![]()
I've got a Fieldsheer and an A-stars SMX, I love the A-stars I just wish I could fit into it this year!
I've heard nothing but good stuff about MOTO-GP suits, but keep in mind the sizes seem to run small.

I think if you try on the MotoGP suit you will want it.. Kangaroo is definitely VERY nice.
I'd get the MotoGP or Alpinestars first. Technic last.
From what I've seen of Technic stuff at the track (buddy has a Chincane suit for instance), it's friggin crap.
Holland has a MotoGP suit that he's tested numerous times, seems to take a beating pretty good.

the only bad thing i've heard about the motogp suit is that the stiching isn't that great. I haven't heard much about the A*s stage yet, but do know that it replaced my GPU suit & i love my GPU. Have crash tested it a couple times, but haven't gone down on the stiching so i dunno how it holds up compared to the MotoGP suit.
Both are great suits for the money though in my opinion and from what i've heard. either one will make you happy as long as fitment is good on you.

To jump in here a little. I have a new Teknic Lightning one piece. I haven't been on the track with it yet, or any way you look at it, on the ground with it. I will say that it is way better than the early 80's Dainese suit I used to use. Regardless of where it rates with most riders, it fits me well, and has most of the current safety features available on other suits. Hopefully I won't have to test it in the not too distant future. I would say that with any siut I may own.
I don't know if you're trying to save $$ . but motostrano.com has some closeouts . 599$ for the TZ1 one pc. and I think it was 499 for the gpu suit . I don't know how good those particular suits are but I like my astars stuff .
