Anyone own one of these pups? This one is owned since new by the owner of Jamin' Motorsports in Nashua and it's a 1223. In high school we would see these things go whipping down the street with a Yosh on it or whatever and the ground just seemed to crumble it was so badass.

I had and raced a 83' GS1100e
Yellow light, green light, heart stands still...
I came close to buying an 1150, back in the day. Insurance premiums kept me from doing so.
Really, back in the Day? What were your overall impressions? I know the GPZ was running strong and the Biggest Interceptor was fast but somewhat problematic IIRC.... I don't think the 1000 Interceptor was as good of a bike as the 750 that's my memory but I was pretty young then. Whatever the case they were all pretty flippin' FAST when you get down to it. I thought my 550ES (barely took a 120/130 rear BTW) was fast at 12:37 and I guess it is, or was at the time..... I thought it was peaky compared to a VF500 but then years later I rode a modern 600 ('07 CBR) and I was so confused..... you gotta really push them to get somewhere.
Anyway then came the Tariff bikes......

I bought one new and still have it.......not in running condition though. It needs tires, shocks, carb work and other things. It only has 15K+ on it too. I didn't want to sink any money into it, so it sits. Who knows, maybe one day it will make it back onto the road. Not any time soon, that is for sure. I paid $4,100.00 for it back in 85' or 86'. Mine is the EF model.
01 GSXR-1000 18,154kmi. Yosh bolt on,rear fender mod., Led blinkers, Power CommanderIII, K&N Intake, cramp buster, new chain and sprockets for the 12' riding season.
My first street bike was an 81 GS1100E. I loved it back then, not sure how it would feel today. They only made a touch over 90hp and were pretty heavy.
Very sharp bike.....would love to get my hands on one now![]()
