    Dutch Commercially available Diesel Bike

Bike magazine says this bike gets 110mpg! That sure beats the 30mpg the SPD3 gets.

I bet those wheels could hold up to a speed bump nearly an inch high at speed!

The bike looks like it weighs in around a svelte 800 lbs.

Dosn't the military have a fleet of diesel KLR650s?

Yeah, at a VERY high cost. F1 Engineering is the company.

    No Price.
    I'm thinking around $20k.
If I remember right the diesel KLRs are north of $10k.

Anyone for a pizza? Or maybe a rear sprocket?

In all reality, if I could convert my trusty KLR to diesel without spending tons of cake, I would in a heartbeat. Unfortunately it's already way to efficient on gas to justify the cost gained from the added efficiency.

    $18000 if not more ...

power is not there compared to gas but is very fuel efficient.

Not when your redline is between 2-3K RPM.
