My god, you people think this is a discussion of people hating cops? As far as I saw it, its about how can he have a motorcycle that is made into a police bike. It is not owned by the police department, so why is he allowed to do this? While I may think it is a cool bike, I just cant see past the legalty of it. If I was to make the same exact bike, I'd be stopped and arrested for impersonating a police officer. And yes I know he a LEO, but off duty while riding it.
It has been explained more than 5 times. Even off duty he is a cop so he cannot be arrested for impersonating an officer because he is an officer. That is the law, regardless of who agrees or disagrees with it.
The only thing illegal about it is the exhaust. Which I disagree with as well but couldn't really care less about it.

It doesn't offend me at all. It annoys me that people call things illegal that are not and have been explained as such ad nauseum by law enforcement officers.
The last part of your statement maybe true or not depending on your opinion but just because you feel it is a missue use doesn't change the legality.

In my neighborhood growing up there was a cop who had a cruiser as his regular car. He brought it home every night and drove it around all the time off duty. I think he even took the family on vacation in it. I know I got driven to baseball practice in it a few times.

I'm with ya, man. A simple "that's fucked up" from one side somehow sounds like "I hate cops" to the other which turns an otherwise clear message into something else.
The sheer existence of this bike in its current form and everything that's attached to how it came to be, along with the allowance of the owner to go out in full uniform off-duty and troll the public roads is fucked up and there's no two ways about it.
can't we all agree to disagree?!
