Yesterday I got an amazing Speeding Ticket - $ 300!
I was going on I-95 from Portsmouth, NH to Boston for an interview. I was running a little bit late and also my speedo is broken so I had no idea how fast I was going. I definitely knew I was faster than I needed to be but then I saw flashing lights on the rear view. DAMN! I knew I was in trouble. I pulled over and the cop told me I was going 110 mph. He told me that he had been following me for a quite a while. I do not know how I missed him but he said he started chasing me when I was doing 92 and maximum I posted was 110.
I was just nice to the officer and was very honest. Told him about the speedo and that I was running a little late. He did give me a ticket for $300 and said he did not write 110 as I was being honest. He in fact wished me luck for my interview and said that I should be careful as people might cut me off.
I do not know why but I feel a little indifferent! I will definitely be much more careful from now on. I was way more pissed when I had got an unwanted and undeserving speeding ticket in a car for $230. I had however won that case when I contested it. I think its becos I am guilty now!

Consider yourself lucky. I think in Massachusetts, twice the speed limit (55 typically) is considered reckless endangerment and they can tow the vehicle.
I-95 is posted at 65 mph. Glad you got a cool cop.

hurray, strikethrough!

Actually I was thinking about my interview all the way down rather than the Ticket. Only now I realised that how lucky I was. Wouldn;t you brag if you did nto get arrested for this?
However I learnt my lesson! I can not do Tony's anymore which I was thinking of for the month end! Gotta pay the ticket! DAMN!
I am glad too. I just behaved like a decent person and was honest rather than being a PITA. I believe that if you admit when you are wrong and are nice, cops are also nice to you. Just my thought![]()

Duct tape is like "The Force". It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
You coulda been fucked real good. You are lucky man
If all else fails, Lean more....
Lucky, but on a side note how'd the interview go?
Yeah, what kind of job had you travel that distance and at that speed?![]()

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
no, the cop didn't chase us, he just cause up with us when we pulled over for a break and gave us a lecture
"alright boys, I know your dressed for it, but this isn't a racetrack, I got you going 85 in a 30 when you went out of my radar and I know you were going a hell of a lot faster than that" then, pointing his finger at me, "YOU, twice in the same week, you got to slow down"
then he let us go on our way, slowly
it was a long long long time ago, I have a better radar detector now

I consider myself lucky. One of my friends had got pulled over a year ago in Maine I think and he was caught doing 84 mph in a car and the cop told him: If you had been doing more than 85mph, I would have to arrest you. I think bikes would get less room for tolerance compared to a car from the same cop in similar situations.
Thats because you a girl!
They just wanted to talk to me about my profile and my expectations. I was meeting a recruitment agency in Boston. Now that I do not have a job, I am desperate for any prospects.

I just got my first one Saturday coming back from a long ride with a buddy, slabbing it doing about 84 in a 65. Pulled right over, and the cop said something along the lines of "you guys were polite and didn't try to run from me, I appreciate that. So I'm going to cut you a break and give you "failure to obey traffic control devices.""
I didn't realize all it took to make a State Trooper happy was NOT leading him on a high-speed chase...![]()
I mean rear view mirror! Should've said side view mirror! You guys know how to 'read between the lines'..
