So they were trying to evade police and incidentally struck an officer. Regardless of ambulance rides it still seems pretty serious of a situation. News these days is in the business of selling stories so there is a good chance this shit is embellished a bit but the situation still seems pretty serious to me.![]()

almost never, so yes i'd probably be off by a larger margin. troopers bag people doing 100+ all the time, nothing new for them.
sure, it's possible someone decided to embellish...but why risk your job filing a false report? the speeding citation is the least of their concerns when they get caught. what sounds more plausible is someone said "doing about double the speed limit" and now you've got 65 x 2 in the news report.
then again, is it really hard to believe that out of a group with these additional outstanding accomplishments:
at least one with a stolen plate (which frequently ends up attached to a stolen vehicle)
one crashed into a cruiser
one managed to hit a trooper
two rode the wrong way on the interstate to escape
that maybe, just maybe, a couple of them might have been willing to flee at 130 mph?

I heard that one of the bikers knocked out a horse during the altercation.

I've had cops tell me stories like that.Originally Posted by drop

Bikes try to evade, cop tries to get in way of bike, cops hand gets hit. Dumb cop. Dumb bikers.
I am pretty sure all this info is readily available..Four motorcyclists did stop for State Police. State Police said all of the bikes appeared to be foreign-made and with Massachusetts registrations. The motorcyclists appear to be from Holyoke.
Why didn't the cop get out of the way ?
Wasn't he paying attention to what was going on aond him ?
Dam , or was he trying to swat the biker in hopes he would fall off his bike .
Embelish ?
Or just spin the story to make the worst posible outcome . Hmmm
I wouldn't even mention the word integrity in this story !
Bikers didn't make great dissicions that day , but come on !

Legend in my own mind
The cop didn't get out of the way because he didn't feel the need to. Sounds like he knew he wasn't in danger, and therefore the contact was likely incidental.
