Potholes in my lawn (others post warnings too!)

After the winter we just had we need to establish a pothole warning system. I see WMUR or whatever has one as well.

This baby is at South Bay Shopping Center as you exit the outer drive getting on to 93S you DO NOT want any parts of this I saw it swallow a Tundra last night. I can't get the video to upload from my shitty Samsung Galaxy (which BTW times itself out whenever it feels like it) but if I can you will see me put my Timbs in there to show the depth. Okay it finally worked. Dealing with good ol' AT&T infrastructure, I know how that works, 'cos I helped put it together but don't blame me I'm just the sometimes hired help, hahahaa....

PS: You can hear the exhaust is all unpacked, I thought it was 'cos I blew it out after the bike hasn't been ridden much, on second thought it's prolly 'cos of the damn roads LOL....

Looks like an area that was trenched for a water line and the patch failed. Aprox how many inches deep is it?

Yah my thought as well, just using the generic pothole description as our bikes really aren't too good with that point of distinction. It's a good 3+ inches deep, mate, and it sneaks up on you fast if you are turning into that area from the south, which I was. You don't want to be running wide, bro. At all.

While they may not be able to repair that yet, with the potential for more snow and all, they should at least put up a cone or something to warn motorists.

    Here's an alternate angle.

For those that like the Thayer St scene, I saw the biggest pothole I think I've ever seen on George St (right from Thayer) today! This thing was down into all levels of pavement and to the gravel below..over a foot in depth and 2 feet round. If you hit this thing on a sportbike, my bet is your going over the bars

Speaking of sportbikes, I sat on the new (old) Tiger, the 1050 now THAT's my kind of ride. Sporty yet truly comfy all day long and scads of wind protection. Love my Sprint but when the finances come together I'll prolly hook up with that. The new 800 Tiger is lovely as well.

Good post...thanks for that "ditch" info and the heads up in general. The roads around here SUCK!! I live in Waltham, and there are a ton of shitty patching jobs, pot holes, wide cracks, snakes, bone jarring bumps and heaves...all in and around here, Newton, Watertown, etc...I stopped going into Boston due to its' being a slalom course just getting around. (I worked in Southie) I know it was a tough winter, but things seem to get worse each year....where are the funds that have been given us from the Feds to maintain the infrastructure and roads? Probably being diverted to other uses/causes like collapsing ramps and bridges, lol.

Yah hey could you see I was grinning in my helmet I could tell you were chill when I looked up, "probably a biker" I was thinking. It's a dangerous little area and I've learned to play close attention, there's so many little roads and lots of visual tension and distractions. In short, it's a fucked up parking lot.

But they DID fix it yesterday no doubt thanks to us

Yeah it's pretty bad in Boston that's why my next bike will be a 1050 Tiger that puppy has a firm but velvety ride over most of that crap that has me zig zagging all over the place on the ST. As to the moolah, gosh only knows.
BTW my last GF had bird wings like those but not colored yet. Those are nice colors. Anyway so funny because to look at her you would never guess that. I know that shit had to hurt like hell in spots, she was cool.

I saw the nod so I figured it was alright and reminded me to look out.
