I agree with Pete on this only with the point of, to a big shop with a conveyor line, you may be Billy Bob. (Not all are like that, but some may be.)They make their money doing 1000's of the same exact peices at one time. Most coaters that I know and talk with absolutely care about the quality of work that they produce and what the customer thinks. I have a small coating shop and want every peice that goes out the door to be of the highest quality.
I do give some customers discounts too because they are bringing in more stuff for me to coat. Whether it is from word of mouth that they sent someone in or they are a frequent customer. I give them discounts but it doesn't make me skip important prep steps in my process. I want those people to come back down the road ortell some one about me.
So basically all I am saying is, do some research on the web and call around. Take some time and visit a couple different shops and make your decisions from there.
Greg
Greg, how much would it cost for you to do the rearsets?
ZX10R
Ned
Ned, I run about $70 to do rearsets. This includes sandblasting.
greg how about for: rearset, rear pegs, and bar-end?

If you look down, you go down. That may be fun at an orgy, but it sucks on a bike
sxlova07, That stuff will run about $90.
Greg, those are some good prices. I have been checking with some other places and they have all given me quotes of around $80 for rear pegs, and an additional $80 for rear sets. One guy would do rearsets and rear pegs for $130
Can you match the color of my frame? It's not quite glossy, but not quite flat black either. Maybe satin black? Here are some pics.
Oh, and this is the part I want done.
Thanks.
Alex, I am sure we find something real close to what you want for a color. It is hard to judge on the computer as the colors are never the same as the real thing.
I try to keep my prices fair. I am just trying to make a fair living. Not break everyone else. Alex, while I am on the subject of fair. You are not too far from a great powdercoater down in Bourne, Ma. While i would love your business, Cape Cod Powder Coating is much closer to you and Bob and his guys do top notch coating. I am sure they would treat you right.
Greg
Greg, where is your shop at in NH? I go to Salem sometimes, so I could stop by and drop off the parts if it's not too far. Can you PM me ( or post here ) your address and tel. number? Thanks in advance, Ned

Ned
Ned, I am in the Keene area which is 15 miles north of Ma and 15 miles east of Vt. Give me a yell anytime at 603-852-0289.
Crap that IS far. 100 miles from where I liveI might consider sending the parts to you, but then again - color choice

Greg,
How close are you to the Guy that fixes bent rims right on the main road in swanzea. I know its not much to go by but im sure you know who I mean lol. The last time I was out in that area was to get my friends Buell rim fixed. how much would you charge to do a set of rims? I dont mind making the trek out there. Its a little over an hour for me.
Do you have a website? Email me id love to get some more info. LouNeo@gmail.com
-Lou
Hey Ned, That is a long way. My sister-in-law lives in Wakefield and I dread the ride everytime we do it. I could try and match your parts for you if you sent along some sort of piece with the color on it. Let me know how you feel about that.
Lou, You are talking about Noah and his crew at MC Wheels. Great crew. They are on Rte 10. You would have to go to Keene and then go south on Rte 12 for a few miles to get to me. Only about 15 mins more.
The rims would run about $90/ea for any single stage color like black.
My emai is elmcitypowdercoating@verizon.net. or call 603-852-0289. The number is my cell for the shop so I have it on me all the time.
My website is still in the works but is posted at elmcitypowdercoating.com.

I wish there was something I'd like powdercoated on my bike, just to take advantage of the fact that Greg is 20 minutes up the road from here.
How close to the high school/police station are you? If you said you are just a few miles down 12, I'm assuming you are somewhere in the vicinity of where 12 and 32 meet up?
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
Greg, while you may be right about 'Bob's quality of work, his son, Rob who I've known since the first day he told us he and his dad were opening the shop together is a complete scumbag. He has ripped off more people that I know of than i can count. I would not recommend doing business there if his son his still anywhere near the picture.
Also, I may be looking to you to do a large amount of powder coating next winter. Two frames, a few sets of wheels, and a bunch of odds and ends.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Hey Jeff, i am actually a little further down 12. 1/4 mile before the Cheshire fairgrounds.
hessogood, I don't know about the son and i don't want to make any judgements myself. I have talked to the father and I know he is a stand up guy.
Anyway, Whenever your ready just give me a yell. I would be more than happy to take care of your parts for you.
If any of you guys need stuff brought to Greg, just let me know. I'm not too far south of him and if you give me stuff during a race weekend or any other time I can make a trip out of it and hit up Elm City Brewery for some top notch wings
It'll be best to get a bunch of stuff at once so I'm not driving for a set of clip-ons!

to anyone in the southshore/boston area....I go up to laconia every once and a while, so I wouldnt mind bringing up a bunch of stuff up to greg.
greg - once I get in my rearsets I'll hit you up and setup a drop-off time

Mick, I envy you. I would love an old project bike like that. I plan to find something like your triumph down the road.

Thanks Greg
I have a powder cost shop in the Portland Maine area, e-mail me for a price list rooso123@comcast.net. I live in NH but take two or three trips a month up to the shop. See attched photo of my TX rim.
