Since the guy on the bike was dumb enough to brake check a car, I'll give the car driver the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't the one acting like an idiot until it can be shown otherwise.

Just ride away. Why put yourself in this sort of predicament? What point are you proving by getting yourself and your bike hurt or killed?

Think his foot might have gotten jammed between the exhaust & the tire and that's what dragged him along.

He definitely brake checked the car... the car just didn't hit the brakes. lol.

Not according to this longer video:

Cage driver seems to be minding his own business for at least :45.

Yep. Not to say that the driver definitely antagonized him, but we can't draw conclusions based on this video alone.

Well, other than that they're both asshats.

Looks like a couple of cars hogging the left lane. Otherwise, I got nothing. Still not a valid reason to ride like that.

Yep, that's a pretty stupid response to a left lane hogger. Absolutely amazed by the stupidity of this biker.

    This. A lot of this.

For all we know he'd been holding up the rider for a while. Although he is passing that other traffic at a decent pace before the biker makes his appearance. But they have far less tolerance for left lane ass-hattery in Europe than we do here.

I dunno, for some reason I side with the rider. Tangling with a car is dumb, sure. But I still side with him.

In related news... that part of Russia sure looks like it sucks for riding.

    Re: Probably Shouldn't Brake-check on a bike

Oh my goodness, why are most of you automatically defending the rider like he was a total angel? Just because he's a rider, doesn't mean that he's automatically in cahoots with us (don't we believe that a lot of GSXR riders are also dumb?). The driver was going the same constant speed based on the blurring of the guard rail to his left. The stupid asshole of a rider, for whatever dumbfuck reason, decided to break check the car, not once, but twice? What was his reason to slow down and salute the driver? "Oh hey, guy." I mean, really?

You guys must not know a lot about Russia, but a lot of people there are assholes and so many try to scam insurance. Just go to Youtube and look at a lot of the Russian accident videos. Most of the drivers, it seems, now have dashcams for that very reason. You see so many idiots dropping in front of cars, like "oops, I tripped." I've seen a negligent mother jump right out between parked cars with two of her kids, and the car literally slamming into them. There's no way you can brake that fast, don't care how skilled you think you are, when the person hides behind a car and jumps at you.

I have trust issues with pedestrians on the road because of that. Never know when some fucking psycho is going to try and end his life today. In this case, I'm with the driver. No rider in their right mind is going to do something stupid like brake check anyone. Our safety is more important than the potentiality of death because of insurance fraud. Ain't nobody gonna get insurance payouts if they're dead.

    Unbelievable.

Because I've had a 'cager' piss me off so badly that I do ill-advised things. I've been there, done that. So yes, I give the rider the benefit of the doubt.

You make the conscious decision to do something stupid and then blame it on someone else?

That's not the feeling I got from this thread? I think it's pretty much just Bubba saying that. Even the title is "probably shouldn't brake check"

Ok, so the driver does all he can to avoid a collision. Brakes hard, steers car into spin or into guardrail/flips car etc. what would the kid on the bike do? Ride off into the sunset laughing, thats what. Kid on bike is a prick and got what he deserved. I hope he learned his lesson.

I guess I am the resident asshole in a sea of infallible saints.

I still do not believe that the rider braked.. or braked with any significance. I believe he simply let off the throttle in a low-ish gear. I believe he was rammed by the driver.

    But what the fuck ever.

We should all take a moment and be thankful we don't live in Russia.
And I don't mean because of the drivers it's the weather I wouldn't survive there!
Why would you even buy a bike there? Lol
