    Peg/shifter mods for tall riders?

Does anyone know if there is a way to increase the distance for my legs on a sportbike? I'm 6'6 and it's really cramped to get my legs tucked under the tank, and have my feet rest squarely on the pegs. The perfect solution would be if I could push the pegs down and back a bit...Does anyone do this? Are there kits that can extend this distance?

All I have seen are the "race" mods which bring the pegs back and UP, which would probably be even worse.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks all!

If you look down, you go down. That may be fun at an orgy, but it sucks on a bike

Depends on the bike, i've heard of the busa guys using buell? pegs for a more touring-like riding position. Lowering the pegs even just an inch or so greatly reduces your cornering clearance however...

Adjustable rearsets, I had some made by Acculign. Another solution would be to raise the seat.

If you can avoid it don't bring the pegs down, it will just decrease your cornering clearance.

Moving them back will allow you to maintain a more aggressive position and 'lay' on the tank, thus stretching your legs out backwards a bit. I would try to move them back but not down, and see if that alleviates the issue.

Otherwise, you might just have to get used to it or go with a less sporty bike...
