    Best/ Most Protective Bike Cover

    Hey guys,
I go to school next to the Ocean, and the salty air really rusts out anything in its path...(including my truck ).

What would you guys recommend for a cover for my bike for all weather conditions (except snow)?

I can not get any garages/ bike shelters/ shells because it is still in the school parking lot.

Are the "bag" covers worth it? And also are these reasonable if I want to use the bike almost daily?

Just looking for something with a lot of protection from that salty air.

    Thanks

I have this and this would be my vote.

My only concern with a bag type cover is the fact that moisture could get stuck in there and then you'll just have some rusty brake rotors to deal with...

I got that one for my Concours14, except I ordered it full-size GoldWing so it would cover the bike and sidebags down to the ground. GREAT cover, I handed it over to the guy that bought my bike, I'm sure he likes it too. Best 125 or so, I ever spent on a cover.

I've got one of these, and I love it:

I lucked out and bought it second hand from an NESR member, but knowing what I do now, I'd happily pay full price for it.

How easy it that to break down and put back up? It will still be in the "motorcycle parking area" of school, so if I take my bike, I usually throw the cover in my truck, but is this a pain to break down and fold up?

    Thanks

Why not just leave the cycleshell in the parking spot? Will the school not allow that? I would assume they would if they have a motorcycle only parking lot

I would have to talk to them about it. The parking "lot" is literally a 12x12 square corner of pavement that they couldnt fit a car spot at so they defaulted it to a "motorcycle" parking area.

It folds into it's "transport" state in about 10 seconds. Super easy to do. However, it's a pretty good size, and it's not really "portable" unless you have a pickup truck or a car/SUV with a large cargo area.

If you want to drop by my place some time and check it out you're welcome to.

Another vote for the Dowco Guardian Weatherall Plus. I've had the AT size on my V-Stroms for four years from March - December and it is still holding up great.

In Boston I tend to get a size larger than recommended so it just about entirely covers the bike right down to the ground. But no one steals V-Stroms.

    Thanks guys...

I think for the ease I am going to get the Dowco cover. Anybody local sell it?
