haven't had to do it lately the horn on my strom at least works for inspection every year (I'm not a horn blower) on my SV, its the only time it would ever get used and it never worked, cheapest way out was to buy a horn for 8.99 from VIP (it even appeared to be identical to the stock SV horn in all aspects including markings) I couldn't waste my time fussing with the old one trying to get it to work for that kind of money

I have seen people use bicycle horns with the ball on the end for dirtbikes to get plated.

I tried a car horn on the atk and it works like shit

use a piezo buzzer you can get one a ratshack for $6

iv'e had the someone on one of my dirtbikes for 10 years.

DDK was kind enough to pick up a pair at the rice-o-rama swap meet thingie. Two for 5 bucks! So now I've got a spare.

Well that couldn't have been any easier...

Took me all of 3 minutes to walk out to the garage, find the horn wires, plug it in, test it & bolt it onto the triple clamp. And here I was thinking I was gonna have to splice & solder.

I love it when a plan comes together.

jane has your skid plate. it came to me with no hardware, so with a couple metric bolts it should bolt to the rear of the frame, the front you have to fashion a little bar probably with a couple bolts and nuts, to pinch it around the frame. just make sure i get to ride with ya before you get too fast on that too.
