    Question Windscreen Experience

Looking to get a double bubble for my 06' GSX-R.

I know Puig is a very well known brand and have also
had experience with Zero Gravity products.

Any that you would suggest steering clear of? Ones you
    would highly recommend?

    All feedback is good feedback

I have used both. Seems the Puig is a little better in the quality. ZG is a close second though.

I would stay away from powerbronze and lockhart phillips. I had the LP on my k6 600 and the fitment was shit. Powerbronze looks really really cheap and felt cheap too.

ZG seems to be the standard and never bought so couldn't tell you to go either way.

I had a Sportech on the TL... quality was pretty nice. Mine was a mirrored non-transparent screen though so I can't comment on clarity at all

    LOL

I was always a fan of the LP V2 Race screens. Very very clear and thin.

i hear good things about puig though.

    Re: Windscreen Experience

I think I had a zero gravity and is was nice. The double bubble was functional and made a difference. I needed to replace it and there was a hotbodies in stock so I tried it out. I don't like this one because the double bubble effect does nothing compared to the stock windscreen. Its virtually the same dimension as the stock windscreen.

    Re: Windscreen Experience

Puig Double Bubble. I'd also recommend shopping ebay for aluminum windscreen fasteners. The plastic screws may not survive the change and given you have integrated turn signal/mirrors, any time you remove them you have to loosen the windscreen to pull the wires and connectors through.

    Re: Windscreen Experience

All pretty much the same in my experience.

Here's a off topic tip though, when you're drilling the holes put the drill on reverse and let the heat drill it. On forward it's likely to grab too much and crack the screen.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

    Re: Windscreen Experience

I've had the Zero Gravity Sport tourer on my TLR before. I really liked it because it was as high as the double bubble, but broader.

They make one for your 06 GSXR too(its a LOT taller than the DB though): http://www.zerogravity-racing.com/sp...sptbks/110.htm

How tall are you? I'm 6'3" and have a ZeroGravity double-bubble on my 900SS. The thing is, I can't notice any positive difference with the ZG screen; in fact I think it may make the wind worse for taller folks...
