Do you need to hold it for 30 days after you take the BRC?

In Vermont if you do not take the BRC there is a waiting period. If you do take the BRC... No waiting. Makes sense doesn't it?

Some yahoo takes a 10 question test, no training and gets a permit.

On the other hand, same Yahoo takes a 3 day course with range practice and with a written and practical exam, they get their license.

and Stego... This still doesn't make you an MSF instructor... Get out of the thread!

Different states have different rules on what the BRC gets you. Under MREP (Ma4sachusetts Rider's Education Program) you get your license for successful completion of the BRC (or ERC). Not all states agree.

Yes, you only get your permit after the BRC, you must take it to get your permit. Then you hold it for a minimum of 30 days. No tickets or accidents and you can get your license.

Wow, this is enlightening. I've never seen so many people drop f-bombs to others for not knowing stuff. I'd hate to have gone to school with your guys and get something wrong, it would've been like bad Tarantino movie ( or a good Sopranos episode ).

In VT, you take the MSF course, you get your license if you pass the written and the driving test. Other states probably don't work the same way. Check your local states for the rules that apply.
