I'm not sensitive to your opinion at all... It doesn't concern me. I'm just saying you came in here all butthurt about squids and now you're pointing fingers at people for getting butthurt.... it's hypocritical.
I think what would help your cause is if you stopped using the word "you" so much. It makes things personal. For example, when you just said "If you are so sensitive about my opinion then do you think you're inexperienced and shouldn't be on a literbike?"..
Well, that makes it seem like you're speaking directly to the reader, which makes the reader want to respond as such.
Thus, if I had thought it was directed towards me, I would have said something along the lines of "I don't care about your opinion, I think you would be surprised at my level of "inexperience" and who the hell are you to tell me I shouldn't be on a liter bike? Who died & made you king of the DOT?"
... but it wasn't directed at me and I don't really care.

I'm not butthurt about squids I just don't understand why they ride like d bags. They do make people who ride respectfully look bad though, that you can't deny.
Although I should've known better that having an opinion or asking a perhaps slightly pointed question would result in this type of a thread. It is what it is though. In the words of French Montana, "I ain't worried bout nothin". I always enjoy a good debate.
It's definitely happening in 2 weeks, mang.

Honestly I could care less what other people think of me and the amount of CC's I ride. 600's have more than enough power for the average rider. I started out on a 600 and I wish I started on a 250. I had too many ass puckering moments on a 600 when I first started.
Now I ride a 750 and a 1000. The reason I bought the 1000 was for the ergonomics and not the CC's. If I don't bring my A game when riding the 1000 she'll fling me right off. If I know I'm going on a ride where there will be a bunch of twisties, i'll bring the 750 since it's more nimble and forgiving. Hell I wish I had a 400-500cc for twisty riding.
Did anyone's wheels get scratched yet?![]()

Sharknado.....
lifes a garden man, dig it
ya gotta keep on keepin on
I started on a 900 and I "posses the skills to ride the bike confidently and competently without riding like a douche". I'm just slow as molasses sliding down a wall in the winter. Don't twist the thing on the right. Let's ignore the fact my bike is ancient, heavy, and wallows in every turn thanks to the bike and it's operatorI also openly made the effort to buy something with way more ability than I have.
It sounds like you simply hate squids. The liter bikes are just frequently used by them. You must hate tennis shoes too. Plenty of people screw up a 600. A modern 600 supersport is still crazy fast. It's way more able than a new rider, with plenty of potential to be doing triple digit speeds at every chance. Also sounds like you have a bit of pretentiousness now that you know what the "right" thing is. Seems mildly common with new-ish riders. You want to do the right thing, and you want everyone else too as well. Just ease up a little. Nothing wrong with promoting good decisions, but ease up on the "I know better" stuff.
Supersport bikes look aggressive, have a sporty riding position, powerful responsive brakes, very light, and sport-tuned suspension. Ignoring the engine, some people want a sports vehicle with a sport feel. And for $1000 more I can have the one with twice the horsepower?
I'd expect to get myself banned if I whined.

If everybody made the smart decision, the worlds population would be 14 billion rather than 7 billion. Frankly, I'm ok with natural selection.
