Do you have one of these ? Are they any good ? Any problems with the bag scratching the tank paint ?

I was thinking of picking up a tank bag to carry my laptop for work. I currently use a backpack and it's a pain in the neck. (literally) It looks like my laptop might just fit in this bag, but it will be close. My laptop is 10" x 14", so depending on the actual inside dimenstions, it may or may not fit.

I don't have this exact bag, I've got a Nelson Rigg bag that looks very similar to this one minus the side handle. Then again, most magnetic tank bags look similar.

When I first got the bag, I had a habit of just grabbing it by the handle and yanking it off. Big mistake, good way to scratch the paint. Fortunately someone was kind enough to steal that bike with all it's scratches, and I learned from my mistake. Most of the tankbags have magnetic "wings", if you pull gently up on each wing before removing the tank bag, it doesn't scratch the bike; at least, that's worked for me.

I'm thinking about picking up one of these just to keep around the office, $32 is damn cheap for a magnetic bag.

http://www.newenough.com/nelson_rigg...k_bag_page.htm is the one I have. They claim it's 13x9, and no way would it fit a laptop.

Gordon, T is right (unusually) you can't carry a laptop in a magnetic tank bag. You'll need to get a back-pack.

    derek
