Friday I stopped at the rest area & liquor store up near Concord on 93...
A "State Investigator" (never met one before) came up and just said he wanted to Thank me for wearing my gear even though it was hot out. He was in a uniform I never saw before... not the same as a state police uniform but similar and had a badge/gun/radio.
Kind of interesting. Probably plenty to investigate at that rest stop considering the # of people who move through there.
Ben
That is a pretty 'cool' story (ha-ha, bad pun)
Not enough people think like that, most say "how the hell can you wear all that shit, its too hot out" Then I show them scars and say I'd not like to have anymore![]()

Suf Daddy.
Ben, did you notice what his car looked like? NH has a 'traffic enforcement' division as part of their ever growing portfolio of State Police 'units'...
Uniforms are a bit different and their cars, while the A-typical Crown Vic, are painted differently also...
None the less, cool to hear that SOME LEO's have a more positive outlook on 'us'...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
There the new "Highway Patrol," part of the DMV.
Don't we have State Police for Highway patrol? WTF? Most of the time I only see the new ones at construction sites, so maybe thats what they're doing, getting paid overtime for nothing.

i've been told by more than one cop they like guys all geared up and are less likely to pull you over if your going a little fast (reasonable). plus cleanup is alot easier if you lay it down and have more on than shorts and sandels on.
That's great to hear. The cop that witnessed my little incident last November could not stop talking about how well my 'stich protected me while pavement surfing at 40MPH. She was very impressed with the gear. Perhaps she feels the same way now. One can hope...Originally posted by blackvfr

Must say, as I was sliding down the road on my back, I could feel the spine protector between me and the pavement and it gave me a warm fuzzy feeling to know it was there (the slide felt like it took forever). I hopped up when I came to a stop and figured the back of the suit was destroyed. Turns out, it has some mild abrasions but is otherwise fine. Great stuff.

If you (or she) can afford it, Dainese is a great way to go. I love my Dainese jacket. Just don't copy me and I'll be happy.
