Decided to give USCRA a try yesterday per NJ shake down mostly, just ran in the morning. smaller group but lots of interesting machines.. Good race with my 852 in the masters class till i ran out of gas... dumb.. my kz650/735 ran well fixed a few issues i had down at CMP but it still needs more work as a fork seal let go pretty good and the steering head started coming lose guess i need a better torque wrench.. Also tested my new alpinestars suit and air vest.. all good.. have fun this week

Took a round about route as much as I could, while my K-pipe will do 70-75, is becomes buzzy above 50-55, and above 65, you can tell, that you're going faster than the bike was designed. SO, I avoided the high speed sections of Rt 11 on the way up, on the way back, 107, Middle Route, 140, North Road (gravel)and on. Gotta get better tires, I was getting some good lean and I could feel em beginning to not grip

Didn't really get to take in much this weekend, but we did manage to get our summer site at Rocky Road all set-up & squared away.
We had to do a lot of running around Saturday via pick-up and saw a ton of bikes of all variety. Saw a bunch of dirty riders in a good deal of our travels Saturday, obviously participating in the charity ride (whatever you call it). Loudon, Gilmanton & the Barnsteads.
Didn't make it to the track like I had hoped, nor did I bother with Weirs - I rarely do anymore anyway during this week/weekend.
I noticed a TON of Pan Americas and was able to talk to a few of owners. They had incredibly high praise with very little cons. This was the first Harley for a couple people I briefly spoke with and they still seemed in awe that not only could Harley jump in like that, but that they were even on a Harley. I was in shocked when I got around to Googling them and realized that they're considered the top selling ADV bike at the moment.
So...the Gunstock hillclimbs will most likely be in the cards for me next. Although I probably won't get up there until noon or so. Then I'm gonna try to sneak out early Friday and figure out what/if I'm gonna do when the time comes.

Everything changed over here, not sure if I'm going or not. She's been so busy with paperwork, lawyers and all the other BS since her dad passed we've had zero time for anything.

Just registered for the 99th Loudon Classic.
I'll head up Friday & stay through Sunday. No plans to go to Weirs, though.

Again, very sorry to hear of his passing. If you think you can make it up at all, gimme a shout. We'll be staying in Loudon this weekend.
Weirs isn't my thing anymore either. It's bad enough I get dragged up there throughout the summer, but I really can't stand it during the rally.
The actual Classic is Saturday, yeah? What's the schedule look like for it? Or is there a site where it breaks it down better than nhms.com or the rally website?

If you get an infield pass, swing by Center Garage bay 1.

I gotta run down to my shop in Manch for a few hours Wednesday morning. I'm hoping to get to Gunstock by 12:30. I'm gonna try like hell to get there earlier, but I'm not sure it'll happen that way.

I went for years, then started bringing the midgets as they got old enough. It sucked ballz when they moved it halfway across the state for those couple/few years, but the two oldest didn't have time for that stuff anymore anyway. The last couple years (events really) were great & the youngest tagged along a couple times. Last year we met him & his buddies at the gate as they're all starting to drive (we let him miss school for it). This year HE doesn't have time for that anymore. LOL!
This is the first year in I can't even remember that I won't have to be concerned about any of the midgets. I don't even think Big Shirl's coming with me this year. I guess this is the first year I've been solo.

Irish Benedict or Southern Boy Benny are my go-to when I'm in that kinda mood, Smokehouse Omelet when I'm in that kinda mood. Pan fries & hash on the side no matter what.
EDIT: You guys are probably gonna be there a good hour or so before me. At best, I'm hoping for noonish. Worst, I'm hoping for 12:30-ish. By then, who knows how long it'll take to get in. Do you still have my digits, Tim?

Still hoping to stick to the plan. Hoping to get outta Manch around 11:00. Gotta stop by the house to let the dog out and grab my phone, then I'm on my way. 12:30 is looking like about the time I'll be getting there.

I showed up later than planned, parked, walked a half mile, got asked for $20 to keep walking, nope, backtracked, incoming bikes were stacking up by then, rode over to the main mountain and picked up next season's ski pass. It looks a LOT less crowded up on the hill. Were there beer tents in between?
