So I'm cruising along Route 62 heading towards Danvers from Middleton on my FZ6 enjoying the nice weather thats finally arrived when a beat to shit Toyota something-or-other drives up my ass. I think, OK so it always looks closer in the mirrors, yeah. F'ing bitch was 2 ft off my rear wheel. I give her the hand signals to stop / back the *&%$ off and she starts moving closer. I slow down. She swerves past me into the oncoming traffic lane (with traffic coming) then proceeds to push me almost into the sidewalk when she cuts back in.
The drivers behind her kept their distance from me - I think they could tell I was ripped. I proceeded to chase her down 62 keeping my distance. She pulls into the county/town/whatever sherrifs department / holding station.
I follow her in, park my bike, get off the bike, flip up my shield and proceed to scream at her in front of the station for a couple minutes.
She hustled her hispanic ass into the police station real quick to go bail out her delinquent son. (yes she tried to tel me the reason she was tailgating was b/c she had to bail out her son)
What the hell is wrong with people these days?
Oh, and thank god she pulled into a police station or I'd probably be in jail.
Any advice for dealing with whackjobs like this? - When I'm in my truck I just let them hit the trailer hitch and pop a hole through their front bumper... I don't think that works with a bike.
whenever someone comes up on me....whether in my car or on a bike...and it's obvious they want to go faster than I am going...(it COULD happen)...
I pull over and wave 'em by. Period...

i let them pass, and then when they have to stop at a red light or whatever I take their gas cap.
all i know is I would NEVER follow someone wherever they were going... you never know how crazy people are. Definitely easier to just let them pass.... As you can see from Trick photo's post... Kharma is a mean bitch.
Stay calm...if you can. ...but you didn't hear that from me.

Maybe that'll make you feel better.
BTW:
When I see the horse avatar I think of Tom Green driving by and yelling, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THAT HORSE???!!!" I wanted to post the video...but that would be all ungentlemanly-like, and shit.
Duct tape is like "The Force". It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
I'd say find a decent spot and pull over safely and let the idiots go. I get really nervous seeing cars and trucks hauling ass up behind me. Last summer I had a cop do that to me, he was a white dot in my mirror, open straight section of road. 1/4? 1/2 ? mile later, he was easily within 10 feet of my rear tire. I should have pulled over and if he stopped to, given him an ear full. Instead I continued along another few miles to where my bike lives and then brake checked him, forcing him to stop in the road while I slowly pulled into the driveway.
Go ahead and hit me is what I was thinking at the time, I'da owned his house, his land, his other vehicles, his wife and his dog.
Is what I was thinking though. And it was one of Orange County VT's finest, no they. It was an officer.
I love it when they see a sport bike, assume the rider is doing something wrong...catch up so fast, he had to have been hauling serious ass to catch me like he did, and then when they find out you're not doing anything, they ride your ass trying to get you to go faster.
instigating things with cars can only end badly (unless you manage to pull a buddha, which will happen like 1:90843059830459 times)
not advisable.
elissama -- lemme know if you'd care to run a Rte 133-99-128 loop sometime. you're right up the road from me, and i'll be back in town once i graduate in 12 days![]()
hurray, strikethrough!
...adventure timeadventure time...adventure time...adventure time
Haven't been in a situation like that yet, but when it does happen I'll just let the ass hat by. Just remember car vs Bike........... Car will win in a road rage match.
I'd love to. Always game for riding.
On another note - anyone head to bike week in Laconia? I have a cottage up near there in Alton and was potentially lookin for people to cruise up with / may be able to accomodate people at my cottage. (40 min drive to Laconia / Weirs beach)

Exactly...
furthermore, just cus someone wants to go faster than you doesnt make THEM the asshat. (If that were the case I'd be an asshat all the time...) wouldn't the world be an awesome place if people waved you by as a matter of course? like in Italy...freekin' awesome and no unneccesary drama!!!

one of my buddies in college used to carry a roll of pennies in his jacket pocket or he'd keep a few old spark plugs in there... and when some asshole tailed him too close, he'd spike the roll of pennies on the ground next to him or on the hood of the car and they'd have paint chips up their ass. I never condone road rage, but I've always thought it was kind of clever.
No stealing a gas cap? I think I might have to try that sometime.![]()
...oh yeah...freekin' brilliant....
lets hope the cager driver doesnt think thats a good idea the next time someone thinks YOUR following too close....
let me see...
one asshat + one asshat = ?????
oh yeah....TWO ASSHATS
besides this freeking thread is exactly the same one that gets repeated about every 60 days....glad to see we all hold the same point of view over time....![]()

Laconia Motorcycle Week
I hate stupid people. I know right about where you were, I ride around there all the time (when i have a bike...)
Driving back out here to Amherst on RT 2 right at the point where it comes down to 1 lane each way I saw somethin almost terrible. i was behind an R6, who was wearing a massive backpack and who may have also been coming back to school. We were both just hanging out about 10 over the limit. Then some kid in a BMW, sitting back in his chair, not paying attention, wearing his blowout comes cruising up along side of us and cuts the bike off the get to the front of the line.
Then to really make me wonder about some people, with the bike right behind him he throws a cup out of his window. It was just a big gulp or something, but it bounced right by the bikes front tire. If it didn't pose a huge threat to bringing the biker down, that's just as good as flippin the bird after cutting him off.![]()
