Well after talking to alot of different people I have decided on the gear i will be buying for my TDs this summer. I wanted to try to get the best I could afford, I figure I am worth it.
Spidi Hydroback Suit -
Spidi Penta Gloves -
Sidi Vertigo Boots -
Knox Body Armour
I plan on going with spidi because they are discontinued in US and I can get some great deals BUT they are very hard to find.
If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears.
Thanx

If you're going to spend 800 on a suit it should be custom fit.
Could you get a Non Hydroback cheaper, At loudon there is no time for drinking, trust me.

I've been thinking about getting one made from him.
If you want a custom suit Id say go for SYED.
I've got a 2 piece vanson and a 1 piece SYED and the quality/stitching/design is almost identical. BUT the customer service is fantastic and the cost is about 1/2 a vanson. For those that don't know the owner of SYED was a top guy at vanson for many years.

I've raced and crash tested a $350 technic suit many many times and I've never been hurt or had a complaint. Nothin against the higher end stuff, just sayin y'know. Esp for trackday use.... a $2000 suit won't help you MUCH better than a decent lower end suit.
And some of the people here can attest to some of the gnarly crashes I've walked away from lol.

I use Knox body armor, As I understand it the difference between Technics vs Vanson or some other high end stuff is that if you crash in a Technics you buy another suit, crash in a Vanson and you get it fixed. That does not address fit.
That said, I'm 6'4, my pants and jacket are custom Vanson so they fit right, my suit is Technics).

Where'd you get the suit for that cheap? I searched e-bay and and around and best I found was 899.
